Dr. Darlene A. Mayo is a board certified neurosurgeon and a neuroscientist. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and completed her medical training and residency at the Medical College of Georgia. She is fellowship trained in neurosurgery at Emory, and completed two biomedical engineering fellowships at Clinatec, in France, and at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She has performed surgery for 10 years, most recently at the Cleveland Clinic, and has been studying chemicals and electrical activity in the brain for over 18 years, having conducted a number of scientific research studies. She is on the medical advisory board of the Diann Shaddox Foundation for Essential Tremor. Dr. Mayo is a widely sought after international speaker and a renowned author, with over 25 publications of scientific manuscripts and has written two books. She has been featured in Fox News, CBN, Inside Science, Thrive Global, and many more media appearances.
Dr. Mayo’s current focus involves helping people learn how to maximize the function of their brain, by applying neuroscience techniques to their everyday lives, so they can identify their talents and achieve their greatest potential. She does this through teaching a number of online courses and masterclasses, and through group and private coaching. She is currently writing her next book, which focuses on the neuroscience basis of faith.
